This brand is in the high price range, but it is worth investing in considering its leather quality and good design.
In this blog, I will describe (1) the size feeling, (2) the coordination introduction, and (3) the purchase method of JOHNLOBB. I would like to record the (4) history of JOHNLOBB at the bottom of this blog for my study.
・ジョンロブのサイズ感（size）
保有するシューズのwithは全てEですが、サイズはUK6.5と7.0を保有しております。クロケットアンドジョーンズやエドワードグリーンのUKサイズに比べると、若干大き目に感じます。クロケットでは７Eがジャストなのですが、ロブの場合には6.5Eがジャストです。初めてのジョンロブをネットで購入される方は、参考にしていただければ幸いです。大きいサイズを購入してしまった方はインソールにパットを入れて固定することも可能なので、購入店またはお近くの修理店に相談してみるとよいと思います。
All of my shoes with are E, but I have sizes UK 6.5 and 7.0. Compared to the UK size of Crockett and Jones and Edward Green, it feels a little big. For croquet, 7E is the best, but for LOBB, 6.5 E is the best. If you are buying LOBB online for the first time, I would appreciate it if you could refer to it. If you bought a bigger size, you can put a pad in the insole to fix it, so you should consult with the shop where you bought it or the repair shop nearby.

執筆時点では6足を保有しております。ダブルモンクが好きなので偏ったポートフォリオかもしれません。
スーツにもスラックスにもジーンズにも合います。万能選手ばかりです！
ジョンロブに限ったことではありませんが、高級靴の場合にはソールにスチールを装着します。ラバーはジョンロブには付けません。アウトソールが見えるのもエレガントで素敵だと思っています。（他の靴メーカーを購入したときにはハーフラバーを装着することも多いです。）
I have six pairs LOBB at the time of writing. I like double monk straps so it may be a biased portfolio.
It goes well with suits, slacks and jeans. All the all-around players!
It’s not limited to JOHNLOBB, but in the case of high-class shoes, steel is attached to the sole. I won’t put rubber on LOBB. I think it is elegant and wonderful to see the leather outsole. (When I buy other shoe makers, I often wear half rubber.)
・私の購入方法（way of purchase）
新品を店舗で購入できるほど富豪ではないので、基本的には中古（または試着程度の新古品）での購入です。10回くらいまでの使用の靴を購入することが多いです。
メルカリやラクマで思い切って買います。今のところハズレを引いたことはなく、前オーナーに可愛がってもらっていたことがわかります。中古でも相応の値段はします。中古品に対する目利き力が高まったように感じます。
I’m not rich enough to buy a new one in the store, so basically I buy it secondhand (or just trying on). I often buy shoes that I use up to 10 times.
I will take the plunge and buy it at Mercari or Rakuma (free market app). So far, I have not been disappointed, and I know that the previous owner loved shoes. It costs a lot even if it is used.I feel that the ability to judge used goods has increased.
・ジョンロブの歴史（History of JOHNLOBB）
ジョン・ロブは、1866年、ロンドンのリージェントストリートに１号店をオープン。オーダー靴ブランド「ジョン・ロブ」の立ち上げとなりました。当時は靴をオーダーで仕立てることが主流だったようですね。ジョン・ロブの技術の高さのレピュテーションは瞬く間に広まり、ロンドンで地位を高めたと言われています。英国王室御用達でキングオブシューズなんて言われているみたいです。
1900年代初頭には息子のウィリアム氏がパリに出店。この時期に、WilliamやLopezなどのベストセラーが打ち出されたとのこと。100年以上前にこれらのモデルを出せるセンスたるや脱帽です。
しかしながら、ジョンロブは経営難となり、1976年にパリの2号店をクローズすることになったそうです。そこで現れた救世主がエルメス。買収後、1982年に既成靴コレクションを展開。これがいわゆる「ロブパリ」とか「パリロブ」と言われているブランドです。ロブパリのシューズは、ノーザンプトンの工場で作成されています。（エルメスがいなかったら、僕らはジョンロブを履くことができなかったのか？だとすればエルメスに感謝です。）
ロブパリでは、2015年秋冬から女性デザイナー、パウラ・ジェルバーゼ（Paula Gerbase）をクリエイティブディレクターに迎えてコレクションを展開しています。
ロンドンの店舗「John Lobb Ltd.」はジョン・ロブ一族の手に残り、今でもビスポーク専門ブランドとして経営を続けています。「ロブパリ」は、ロンドンの「ジョンロブLtd」とは資本関係はなく、既成靴はパリ、オーダー靴はロンドンで展開されているのが現状です。
John Rob opened his first store on Regent Street in London in 1866. This is the launch of the custom-made shoe brand “JOHN LOBB” At that time, it was the mainstream to make shoes by order. It is said that JOHNLOBB’s reputation for technical excellence spread quickly and rose to prominence in London. It is said to be King of Shoes as a British Royal Warrant.
In the early 1900s, his son William opened a shop in Paris. That’s when the best sellers like William and Lopez came out.
However, due to financial difficulties, they decided to close their second store in Paris in 1976. Hermes is the savior. After the acquisition, they developed a ready-made shoe collection in 1982. This is a brand called “LOBB Paris” or “Paris LOBB”. “Lobb Paris” shoes are made at a factory in Northampton. (Without Hermes, would we not have worn John Rob? Then thank Hermes.)
In “LOBB Paris”, since the fall and winter of 2015, the collection has been developed by inviting Paula Gerbase, a female designer, as the creative director.
The London store “John Lobb Ltd.” remains in the hands of the John Rob family and continues to operate as a specialty brand for bis-pork. LOBB Paris has no capital relationship with London’s JOHN LOBB Ltd. Currently, existing shoes are sold in Paris and custom-made shoes are sold in London.
